It has been awhile
Hello Isela! I have not posted since January of this year and so much has happened. You had your 1st trip to Busch Gardens, Easter, another cheer season, student of the month, a school play, a new bike with training wheels, and our 1st jet ski ride at the beach. You have grown so much this year and we are heading into 1st grade! Ms. Preston has been a great K teacher. Coach Nicole taught our Cats team the Hannah Montana hoedown throwdown and yes mom can do it too….so many photos all mixed in for this post. We are slowing moving to all Hannah Montana and away from Disney Princess and Barbie Princess. You are finally wearing a size 5! We also had a scare when you caught hand, foot, mouth disease- we promise to wash our hands all the time. =) Mommy loves you.

Isela’s 1st sport!
There is nothing cuter than a group of 5-9 year olds cheering for 7 year old football players! This season we cheered for team Red- Go Red Go! Isela’s 1st sport was cheerleading with the YMCA. While it only lasted a few months, it was definitely a fun time. Coach Nicole was great with the girls and we ended the season with a hand made scrap book put together beautifully by mom Hillary. Another season begins again in February and we will be there! Isela referred to Coach Nicole as “Barbie” -Funny!

Christmas 2008
Its hard to believe 2008 is gone! Time flies fast when you are enjoying life. Christmas at our house was celebrated early on Dec 18 since Isela spent Christmas with Johnny. Grammy, Grampy, Hilary, Haven, Hannah, and nana came over for pizza and to open presents with Isela. I think Isela has enough Hannah Bananna Montana to last us until next Christmas- time for her to switch rooms with Andrew’s office! Everything is waiting for her to return next week- then the real fun begins playing with new toys! =) Baby Hannah kept her “poop on someone” tradition going at our house- this time lucky Hilary. Thanks Hannah (keep reminding Andrew about no more babies). Look forward to next year….

Halloween 2008!!
It has been some time since our last post…..Halloween was a blast. We had a parade at Isela’s school and each child got to walk around the school to show off their costume. Isela was pink Cinderella for the day parade. Mom was scared she would get it dirty, so we wore Cinderella for the parade and saved Mariposa for the evening. Ashley’s parents invited us to trick or treat in their awesome Pelican Island community. The 4 Beach Park musketeers were reunited and the girls had a blast. Isela was Mariposa this year and was so cute! She wanted to wear her plastic princess shoes and of course had daddy carrying her around because her feet hurt. (should have listened to mommy). Carmela was Hannah Montana – no surprise – and added glitter to each of the girls hair. Ashley was Belle in her pretty yellow dress and Sara was Cinderella. Carmela lead the charge running from house to house and I think had more candy than the other 3 girls combined!

Isela listened to mommy and took 1 candy at each house which put her in 3rd place in the candy count. After the trick or treating, Isela played with Sara at her lovely home. They had popsicles and watched Barbie. Hope everyone else had fun too!
Isela’s 5th birthday
How exciting it was to watch a bunch of 4 and 5 year olds roller skate! It was too funny, but Isela wanted a skate party and so she got it. Her friends included Haven, Ashley, Carmela, Sara, Zayda and her favorite babysitters Brianna and Brook! Even grampy put on roller skates, word is that he used to be really good back in the days…Isela chose Cinderella as her birthday cake topper and we all had lots of pizza. Isela did get knocked down on the skating floor by a bigger kid…but he flew further than Isela did. Mommy didn’t get to skate due to the cast on her arm from surgery. Thank you to everyone who came, even Aunt Hilary who is 9 months pregnant!

Fourth of July 2008
Lots of great food at Grammies and Grampies and pool fun. Of course Andrew and I were late….what can I say, our clients are demanding. Hilary’s friend Laura joined us this year with her 4 daughters and with Haven and Isela, 6 little girls are so much fun to watch. We watched fireworks at Hilary’s church again this year, they do an awesome show and its free! Isela and Haven enjoyed snow cones- red being everyone’s favorite flavor. It is almost as much fun to watch the girls scream with excitement during the fireworks as it was to watch the fireworks. Here are some pictures for everyone to enjoy.
